Kyra Walker

Hello! I'm Kyra Walker and I've been working on my art pretty much since I was a toddler. I generally like to stay in a cartoon-esqe style, but most of my art does complement realism. My favorite mediums are graphite pencil, acrylic, and digital art. I also love to write in my free time other than drawing, which helps me create characters for my art!

My interest in art sparked at a very young age, but I never started to take it seriously until I was about ten, and finally decided that my dream career was going to be through the arts.

I'm not working on any projects currently, but I have been practicing my skills with the new digital art tablet I received as a gift. The most recent piece I've made is an action portrait of Elphaba from the musical "Wicked" since I've recently found my love for the show again.

I'm going to California State University, Long Beach in the Fall of 2020, working on my BFA in Illustration/Animation. My dream plan is to work for a film or television company like Disney or Pixar.

I struggle with creative blocks a lot, and that's why I like writing. I can write out a story and then picture the characters I made so I can draw them!
